SoftTalon is the home of programs such as EyeDrives and HaLWorks and soon a number of other new products. On this site you will be able to find out the latest of what's been happening here, information about the individual programs and other stuff that may be useful.

At SoftTalon we specialize in writing custom utilities for clients and for the freeware and shareware markets. Currently we only cater for the Windows operating system using the versatile Delphi programming environment but as Linux gains in popularity, an expansion into Linux software using Delphi's Linux version Kylix is being contemplated.
Anyhow, my name is Tracy and I'm the main programmer and web designer around here and I bid you welcome. Feel free to look around for a while and enjoy your visit - thanks for taking the time to have a look! :-)

July, 2006 - While HaLWorks is still available for those that use Windows 95/98, a program with similar functionality but usable on Windows XP etc has been released. For information and downloads, please visit the Cowtec site here.
February, 2006 - Version 4 of EyeDrives has been released! You can read about it here or at the new Cowtec site:

February, 2006 - SoftTalon is becoming Cowtec.
April, 2005 - A new version of HaLWorks with the new name of Filedoyen is currently under development. This program will have many extra features including an extremely quick dual file manager, a powerful text editor, image viewer/editor, html editor, thumbnail viewer, hex editor and a multi-format archive manager.
April, 2004 - The SoftTalon website finally gets a much needed makeover and update! The site is now set up to fully use CSS and XHTML.
March, 2004 - After a rather long break from programming pursuing other projects, I finally found enough time to write and release a new version of EyeDrives. This version (3.5) fixes a number of the bugs that have been reported by users (thanks for letting me know!) and it has also had a few interface modifications to bring it up to date.
The release of EyeDrives 3.5 marks a move to get SoftTalon back up and active again. HaLWorks is getting very dated and only works with Windows 95-98 but it will form the basis for a new group of programs that is currently under development. As details become available, I'll post them here.
